Perfume.Sucks

Perfume.Sucks is a Zurich-based fragrance collection created by Swiss perfumer Andreas Wilhelm. Wilhelm established his own studio in 2008 and launched the label in 2017. Its concept challenges perfume marketing mystique through full transparency: ingredients are identified, recipes are made openly available, and attention is directed toward the scent itself rather than fictional stories, packaging, or vague descriptions. The Color Collection gave a second life to blends originally developed for projects that customers rejected. The brand also introduced a Collaboration Series in which guest artists set the scent direction while Perfume.Sucks provides the design and transparent formula presentation; its first named collaboration was with artist Sasha Frolova. At Esxence in 2023, the brand launched its Conspiracy Line, whose fragrance concepts address social issues through blends including FLASH 0021, FUEL 0987, and WEALTH 4181. WEALTH 4181 was a finalist in the Artisan category of the 2024 Art and Olfaction Awards, with Wilhelm named as perfumer.
