Perfumer's Workshop

Founded in 1970 by Donald Bauchner and his wife, Gun, Perfumer’s Workshop began with a Bloomingdale’s counter where essential oils were turned into a custom-blending concept, allowing customers to create individual scents in different fragrance forms. The company is privately owned and headquartered in New York. In 1985, William Skinner joined as Creative Consulting Director; he later managed the company and developed its creative direction with Calvin Skinner. That creative evolution included Amouroud, a fragrance house built from Perfumer’s Workshop’s custom-blending heritage and focused on new approaches to oud; Amouroud’s initial line launched in February 2016. Tea Rose is the brand’s clearest defining fragrance and was its earliest commercial success.
