Perles de Lalique
Perles de Lalique is a fragrance of Lalique, the French house founded by René Lalique. Lalique’s first Parisian workshop opened in 1885, and René Lalique’s 1907 collaboration with perfumer François Coty extended the company’s work from jewellery into perfume-related glass design. After René Lalique’s death in 1945, his son Marc led the business; in 1977, Marc’s daughter Marie-Claude Lalique became head of the company and developed its fragrance-bottle business. Lalique launched its perfume business in 1992 with Lalique de Lalique. Art & Fragrance acquired Lalique in 2008, and after its partnership with Financière St Germain ended in 2010, the company reverted to Art & Fragrance. In 2014, Lalique introduced the Noir Premier collection of five fragrances and more selective creations. Perles de Lalique itself launched in June 2006 as a chypre fragrance by Nathalie Lorson, described at the time as an homage to the rose. It is included in Lalique’s current official collection of iconic perfumes.
