Pete & Pedro

Pete & Pedro was founded in 2013 by Aaron Marino, also known as Alpha M., after he became dissatisfied with existing hair-styling products. With advice from a hairstylist, he spent about a year developing the brand’s initial hair-care line. The name combines Pete, his father’s name, with Pedro, the name of his mother’s favorite donkey from her mini-donkey farm. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Pete & Pedro grew from a small hair-product business into a men’s grooming and lifestyle line spanning hair care, styling aids, skin care, body products, tools, and beard and shaving supplies. The brand later appeared on Shark Tank, where Marino made a deal with Barbara Corcoran but ultimately declined the opportunity to retain his vision and control of the company. Pete & Pedro is identified as an Aaron Marino–Alpha M. company.
