Phytoderm
Founded in 1986, Phytoderm was developed through research and development aimed at Brazilian consumers. By 1998, it was described as a Curitiba-based cosmetics company producing a cosmetics line for television presenter Hebe Camargo. Flora became an independent company within the J&F holding in 2007, and J&F currently identifies Phytoderm as one of Flora’s commercial brands. In 2011, J&F acquired Phytoderm from Grupo Bertin as part of a broader acquisition of Bertin’s cosmetics brands, bringing the brand into the Flora business. A 2015 repositioning changed its portfolio and channels, expanding its intended presence into department stores and perfumeries. By 2021, Phytoderm’s stated strategy had broadened from a perfume-focused brand toward an accessible beauty brand. Its public identity remains fragrance-led, with colognes, body splashes, perfumed waters and eau de parfum for women and men offered alongside beauty-care products.
