Pierre Guillaume - Parfumerie Générale
Founded in 2005 by chemist Pierre Guillaume under the name Parfumerie Générale, the house developed from his interest in odor materials and perfume composition; its first perfume was created in 2002. Based in Auvergne, France, it has grown independently, without investors or fundraising, through its own commercial activity. The original Parfumerie Générale identity later evolved into the Pierre Guillaume name, while the numbered collection continues the historical Parfumerie Générale line alongside other collections. Guillaume remains the central creative figure, describing his perfumes as narrative works inspired by visual arts, photography, cinema, and places. 02 Cozé is the house’s origin fragrance: Guillaume created it at 25 while trying to reproduce the smell of his father’s cigar box, and he identifies it as embodying the brand’s DNA. In an interview, he described Louanges Profanes as the brand’s bestseller and named Tubéreuse Couture, Jardins de Kérylos, Cozé, and Felanilla among the line’s leading fragrances.
