Pierre Guillaume Paris Black Collection
Pierre Guillaume Paris is an independent, family-owned composition house established in 2005 by perfumer Pierre Guillaume. Raised in a family of chemists, Guillaume began creating perfume after studying chemistry and works from Auvergne, central France, where he composes fragrances with complete creative and financial independence in his own workshops. The story began with 02 Coze, created in 2002 as Guillaume tried to reproduce the smell of his father’s cigar cellar; it became the house’s first perfume. In 2010, Pierre Guillaume Paris launched the Black Collection, originally called Huitieme Art, as a testing laboratory for creative freedom and figurative olfactory pictures. Its black bottle uses a ceramic inner shell. The Cruise Collection followed in 2015 and the White Collection in 2018. Pierre Guillaume later identified 02 Coze as expressing the house’s DNA through richness, originality, technical experimentation, and wit.
