Pierre Guillaume Paris
Founded in 2005, Pierre Guillaume Paris is an independent, family-owned perfume house created by perfumer Pierre Guillaume. Raised in a family of chemists, Guillaume made his first perfume, 02 Cozé, at 25 while trying to reproduce the smell of his father’s cigar cellar. The resulting spicy tobacco composition, built around the Épicène-Gamma base, was noticed by critics and professional buyers in the early 2000s. The house’s creative language brings scientific technique together with poetry, treating perfume as the artistic expression of a scientific discipline while pursuing contemporary, eclectic and narrative work. Guillaume composes all of the house’s fragrances. Its collection milestones include the Black Collection in 2010, the Cruise Collection in 2015 and the White Collection in 2018; by that year, the line had been organized into the numbered Pierre Guillaume Paris collection, Croisière and Noire. Le Musc & la Peau 4.1, released in 2016, is identified as a best-seller and emblematic creation, continuing the house’s exploration of musky skin scents. The creative base is in Auvergne, with Guillaume working independently in creative and financial terms.
