PK Perfumes
PK Perfumes is an independent perfumery line launched in 2012 by American perfumer Paul Kiler, whose first PK Perfumes scents appeared in 2011. Kiler’s own creative and perfumery project combines essential oils, absolutes, resins and resinoids with aromatic materials, drawing on the style of early-20th-century perfumery. He describes the compositions as layered, textural and orchestral, with contrasting elements unfolding over time. The line reported 19 awards during its first ten months, including recognition at the Los Angeles and San Francisco Artisan Fragrance Salon events. Its fragrance record includes Maderas de Oriente Oscuro, winner of the 2019 Aftel Award for Handmade Perfume. The scent was also identified as PK Perfumes’ current best seller, succeeding Carissa as the brand’s earlier best seller.
