Prince

Prince’s fragrance identity is associated with the musician Prince. In 2006, 3121 expanded from an album and Las Vegas club identity into a broader brand that later encompassed fragrance. The earliest documented scent associated with the line was Get Wild, launched in 1995. The 3121 fragrance debuted on July 7, 2007, through an agreement with Philadelphia-based Revelations Perfume and Cosmetics; Prince participated in its development and design, including a bevel-cut bottle, 22-karat-gold label, purple presentation box, and repeated refinement. The project connected the scent to 3121’s album, club, visual identity, and Prince’s creative involvement. After launch, the licensing relationship deteriorated: Revelations sued in 2008 over alleged failures to promote the fragrance, and reporting in 2012 said the deal had been scrapped after sales failed to meet the agreed minimum.
