Profumo di Pantelleria
Profumo di Pantelleria was conceived on the island of Pantelleria on 31 December 1997 by journalist Italo Cucci, patron Gabriella Gentili-Mian, director Silvio Levi, coordinator Fernando Vignali, and perfumer Maurizio Cerizza. Its founding idea was to extend the island’s atmosphere beyond the vacation season through fragrances that evoke Pantelleria. Presented publicly in 1998, the Italian house centers its fragrances on the island’s colors, flavors, atmospheres, herbs, flowers, and spices, shaped by its place at a Mediterranean cultural crossroads. Cerizza, the founding perfumer, is also identified as the creator of the house. The line includes Tanit, a 2007 fragrance linked to Pantelleria’s legendary goddess and presented as a contemporary feminine interpretation. Released in 1998, Profumo di Pantelleria is described as a citrus-aromatic scent inspired by Pantelleria and Montagna Grande.
