Pupa

Founded in Monza, Italy, in 1975 from Angelo Gatti’s idea for a complete beauty kit called Bouquet, Pupa began with coordinated makeup kits before expanding into makeup, skincare, toiletries, and fragrances. Its identity is rooted in Italian style, original design, creativity, and freedom of expression, with red serving as a continuous visual identifier since the beginning. Product innovation shaped its early history: the 1979 Intensyl mascara incorporated an integrated mirror, while the 1983 Genesis case resembled a travel suitcase and the 1985 Pupafree introduced a refill concept. Pupa entered fragrance in the 1990s with Fiorilù, its first fragrance, a floral bouquet launched in 1991. In 2003, the Miss Milkie line extended its toiletries and fragrance activity with milk-based gourmand scents. The 2012 Vamp! mascara became an iconic product and current bestseller, with its name later applied to other makeup categories. Pupa is currently a brand of Micys Company S.p.A., a family business founded by Angelo Gatti and shared across two Gatti generations.
