PUSHEEN

Pusheen first appeared online in a short comic series created by Claire Belton and written with Andrew Duff, who became a co-founder of Pusheen Corp. Founded in 2010, the project developed into a dedicated Pusheen.com Tumblr blog featuring comics and GIFs. Its public identity is built around a cartoon tabby character expressed through comics, GIFs, stickers, digital content, and licensed products. In 2013, Gallery Books published I Am Pusheen the Cat, the first Pusheen comic collection, while licensed Pusheen images also became available through Facebook’s chat-sticker feature. Belton is identified as Pusheen’s creator and founder, with Duff as co-founder. Pusheen Corp. owns rights including copyrights and trademarks in the Pusheen name and character; in 2019, a WIPO decision ordered two disputed domains transferred to the company after finding bad-faith registration and use.
