RAAW Alchemy

RAAW Alchemy originated in 2017 as RAAW by Trice, founded by Trice Angie Christiansen after a reaction to a conventional beauty product prompted her to study herbal medicine and Eastern treatments. Her first product was an oil developed to help heal her eczema. The brand combines skincare and perfume with organic, sustainable and wild-harvested ingredients, including ocean botanicals, selected for functional properties rather than appearance or scent alone. In 2022, the label began rebranding as RAAW Alchemy, a change intended to make it less centered on Christiansen personally while retaining its underlying DNA. The rebrand also brought greater emphasis on oils and seaweed ingredients and more sustainable packaging. Fragrance has been part of the story from the beginning: Blackened Santal, developed in Los Angeles with Christiansen’s father, was the brand’s first fragrance and carries memories of home, Los Angeles, summer nights and family. Christiansen personally creates the formulas, with Madagascar vanilla and wood recurring in the brand’s fragrance identity.
