Rag & Bone
Rag & Bone originated in New York in 2002, co-founded by Marcus Wainwright and David Neville. Its design identity combines British heritage with a modern New York sensibility, with early development centered on clothing and denim. Andrew Rosen became a partner in June 2006, and David Neville left the brand’s day-to-day leadership in 2016 while retaining shares and a board position. In July 2023, Wainwright stepped down as chief brand officer while remaining a shareholder and board member, with creative responsibilities divided between senior design and merchandising leaders. On April 2, 2024, Guess? and WHP Global completed their acquisition of Rag & Bone: Guess? took the operating assets, while the two companies jointly owned the intellectual property through a 50/50 joint venture. After the acquisition, Rag & Bone was an autonomous fashion brand within the Guess? portfolio, with its creative and design teams leading its collections. The brand entered fragrance in October 2016 with eight unisex eau de parfums, a broad collection rather than a single defining signature.
