Rasasi Perfumes 1979 - UAE
Rasasi Perfumes was founded in 1979 by Abdul Razzak Kalsekar, who opened a small perfume shop in Murshid Bazar in Dubai. From that beginning, it developed into a family-owned fragrance business led by the founder’s six sons. Its founding concept combined Gulf olfactory traditions and traditional Arabic ingredients with an ambition to create a broader luxury fragrance brand, while its identity balances Middle Eastern heritage with contemporary, internationally oriented perfumery. Rasasi began establishing its Jafza presence in 1986, marking an important milestone in the company’s development. In October 2025, the house introduced the Rasasi Perfumes 1979 chapter and the Legacy Reborn direction as a creative evolution that retained its Arabian heritage while adopting contemporary artistry, with the transition associated with the next generation of the Kalsekar family, including Omeir and Talha Kalsekar. In fragrance, Blue Lady was the house’s first Western-oriented label, while the 2007 launch of Hawas became a breakthrough fragrance that helped introduce Rasasi to a new generation.
