Fragrance house
Rasasi
Founded in Dubai in 1979, Rasasi began when Haji Abdul Razzak Kalsekar opened a small perfume shop in Murshid Bazar. The family-owned enterprise grew as his six sons joined the business, building on Gulf olfactory traditions and traditional Arabic ingredients while developing a broader fragrance house. Rasasi created both Oriental and Occidental lines, extending its Middle Eastern roots into a wider international fragrance identity. Blue Lady, the house’s first Western-label fragrance, was Rasasi’s most successful fragrance to that point by 2006 and had been copied by other manufacturers. Today, Rasasi’s identity combines family heritage and Middle Eastern artistry with a modern global vision, spanning oud-oriented expression and contemporary fresh fragrances. A current generational transition under the Rasasi Perfumes 1979 name involves Omeir and Talha Kalsekar, with Talha associated with creative direction and digital innovation.
