Re Profumo

Re Profumo builds its creative identity around Fulvio Fronzoni’s novel “Re Profumo – La ricchezza è saper sognare,” with fragrances inspired by its characters. Guided by Celso Fadelli, Intertrade’s creative team translated that literary narrative into perfumes made with international perfumers. The brand’s cultural and olfactory identity centers on Venice and its dreamlike, languid and decadent atmosphere, while Re Profumo is associated with Intertrade Europe in Padova, Italy. A 2014 profile described the original collection as five fragrances—Alèxandros, Adone, Ekstasis, Sogno d’Amore and Superuomo—inspired by the novel’s characters and Venice. Meraviglia was later added to the collection, with a concept linked to Giacomo Balla’s 1926 Futurfiore exhibition at the Venice Biennale. The presentation also extended into gilded Venetian ceramics designed to complement the olfactory experience. At Intertrade’s UNSCENT 2016 event, Re Profumo announced the Aqve Profumate collection, comprising Aqva Meravigliosa, Aqva Narcotica and Aqva Passionale.
