Realtree
Realtree’s business roots trace to 1983, when Bill Jordan started Spartan Archery Products in Columbus, Georgia; in 1986, he introduced the first Realtree camouflage pattern. Jordan developed its visual premise by hand-sketching oak bark and layering twigs and leaves over a bark background to create a more realistic, three-dimensional appearance. After the 1986 SHOT Show, Eastbank Textiles became Realtree’s first licensee. Jordan created the Realtree Outdoors television show in 1992, followed by programs and videos including Monster Bucks, Monster Bulls, and Realtree Road Trips. In 2009, the company consolidated its camouflage patterns under the Realtree name. RealtreeLife extended the public identity into lifestyle use in 2014, and Realtree Fishing followed in 2017. The brand introduced EXCAPE in 2020 and APX in 2024, continuing its pattern design work. Realtree remains family-owned, and its 2026 40th-anniversary program, centered on the “Long Live Real” campaign, highlights family, friends, and the outdoors.
