Regalien

Regalien is a Turkish niche fragrance house founded in Istanbul in 2016 by brothers Bilen Besen and Varol Besen. Rooted in the city, the brand draws on Eastern and Western cultural influences and reinterprets timeless traditions through a modern approach, treating fragrance as personal identity and inherited cultural memory. Its references include Turkish and Ottoman culture, from palace life and Anatolian heritage to Istanbul and hammam rituals. By 2023, the founders described Regalien as having four collections and 22 fragrances. Its current public structure includes Heritage, Turkish Bath Rituals, Exclusive, Lucky, and Hidden Origins. Turkish Bath Rituals is inspired by ancient Anatolian hammam rituals and framed around purification, renewal, and fragrant serenity. Regalien appeared in the Esxence brand lists for 2019 and 2024. In 2026, it introduced Hidden Origins at Esxence in Milan, presenting Agora: Golden Horn, Anemos: Cappadocia Wild, and Aurora: Halfeti Dark as expressions of Anatolian heritage. The collection was developed under the creative vision of the Besen brothers with Dominique Ropion, Honorine Blanc, and Hamid Merati-Kashani.
