Reine de Saba
Reine de Saba was created in 2023 by Habib Al-Sowaidi, who had conceived the idea of his own brand in 1996 and dedicated it to Yemen and its legendary ruler, the Queen of Sheba. Before launching it, he founded the Paris-based Le Royaume du Parfum in 1996 and worked with perfumers and glass designers on fragrance projects for Middle Eastern brands. Reine de Saba links contemporary French perfumery with the ancient Sabean kingdom and Yemen’s heritage of incense and myrrh, building its fragrance universe around aromatic resins, woods, flowers, and spices. Its peace-oriented concept gives each launch a message that love, friendship, and beauty have no boundaries. The opening collection comprised 10 fragrances created by 10 perfumers, including Dominique Ropion, Sophie Labbé, Nathalie Lorson, Alberto Morillas, Maurice Roucel, Olivier Cresp, Anne Flipo, and Carlos Benaïm. The brand’s creative process combines perfumer freedom with Al-Sowaidi’s detailed control of each composition, while Serge Mansau is credited with the bottle-cap design.
