Fragrance house
Réminiscence
Réminiscence was founded in 1970 in Antibes–Juan-les-Pins on the French Riviera by Zoé Coste and Nino Amaddeo. The house began as a costume-jewelry business before expanding into fragrance, with its first perfume, Patchouli, inspired by the founders’ taste for travel and interest in the Orient. Its identity is rooted in instinctive, emotion-led compositions and materials such as patchouli, oud and musk. After Coste’s death in 2007, the brand was resold and became less visible in the market. Naxicap Partners later acquired Réminiscence, and the relaunch was led by David Lozano and Gaëlle de Prunelé. In 2024, they restarted the brand’s development and asked Robertet to revisit the original formulas, resulting in a collection of 12 fragrances. The relaunch retained historic scents while updating their formulas for regulatory requirements, with the original 12 reproduced nearly identically and colorants removed among the adjustments. Le Patchouli, created by Francis Camail under Coste’s direction, is the brand’s most emblematic olfactory expression and signature fragrance.
