Renier Perfumes

Renier Perfumes is a Czech perfume brand founded by Cuban-born artist Renier Rodríguez Méndez, a third-generation member of a family of visual artists from Cuba. His interest in fragrance began with the smells of artistic materials and woods, leading him to experiment with natural materials mixed with alcohol or water. After establishing himself in Europe, he studied modern perfumery and met Daniel Josier, whose guidance helped him develop the idea for the brand. Renier’s creative identity joins scent and painting: each perfume is inspired by one of Méndez’s paintings, and he designs the bottles and boxes as part of the visual presentation. The brand appeared on the official Esxence 2018 list; in 2019 it introduced the Taíno collection, including De Lirius and Behique. Guanabo, created by Miguel Matos and introduced in 2021, drew on the Caribbean and the painting-linked concept. The recurring Rain concept is also reflected in the Rain Collection and in 2023’s Musky Rain, inspired by a painting of the same name.
