Riviera Fragrance was founded in January 2017 and formally registered in France in November of that year as a company selling perfume and cosmetic products. Its approach centers on making perfumery more accessible, with an emphasis on originality and authenticity over conventional perfume marketing. The brand develops fragrances in collaboration with perfumers from Grasse, Switzerland, and Spain, while maintaining a French perfumery savoir-faire orientation. Its perfume bar enables customers to combine fragrance accords with a perfumer’s guidance to create a personalized scent. Riviera Fragrance also introduced olfactory workshops covering the basics of perfume construction and allowing participants to compose fragrances around their preferences. In Villeurbanne, its perfume bar had been operating since 2019 and offered personalized fragrance creation.
