Roan
Founded by Helen Lee in 2022 and publicly launched on March 1, 2024, ROAN is a New York-headquartered fragrance brand whose name refers to Roots of a Nomad. Its identity is built around clean, vegan, cruelty-free, genderless fragrances with tea as a recurring creative reference, reflecting themes of wandering, travel, connection, and the relationship between scent and the mind. The brand operates through Wayfarer Inc. as ROAN Fragrances. Porcelain Pulse illustrates this approach through its inspiration in English tea parlors and Darjeeling black tea; the fragrance was named Marie Claire’s 2024 Best Earthy fragrance and won the Perfume category in the 2025 Clean Beauty Awards. On August 1, 2025, ROAN released Sahara Song, inspired by Moroccan mint tea, Morocco, and the Sahara Desert, with Patricia Choux credited as perfumer.
