Fragrance house
Robert Beaulieu
Robert Beaulieu is a French fashion and fur house whose identity is rooted in a family furrier tradition described in 2008 as spanning three generations. In 1980, the house was among the Paris fur houses represented at Galeries Lafayette, with work in mink; the following year it introduced a reversible trench-coat-style fur garment, documenting its use of reversible construction. Its fragrance activity runs from the late 1980s through the 1990s, with five listed fragrances dating from 1987 to 1998; the documented collection is now marked discontinued. The house’s most distinctive recorded fragrance association is Vison, launched in 1986 by Yves Tanguy and given a new version in 1998 by François Robert. Vison, Vison Noir, and Swakara were listed alongside gemstone-named releases, while Vison’s bottle collection used fur on its stoppers, linking the fragrance presentation to the fur-house identity.
