Fragrance house
Robert Graham
Robert Graham is an American fashion house founded in 2001 by Robert Stock and Grahame Fowler, whose names form the brand name. It developed an “American Eclectic” identity through colorful, intricate patterns, mixed-media fabrics, embroidery, rich trims, and detailed shirt styling. Robert Stock was the principal creative figure documented for the label: he founded the line, shaped its design language, and later initiated its move into men’s fragrance. The house received the American Apparel & Footwear Association’s 2014 Menswear Brand of the Year award. Its first fragrance venture arrived in March 2016 as blended essences, a three-fragrance men’s collection of Courage, Valour, and Fortitude. The decanters used fabric labels inspired by archived Robert Graham prints, carrying the clothing identity into fragrance; Fortitude, created by perfumer Ilias Ermenidis, combined a horned-ram presentation with a tobacco-led composition. Robert Graham is part of Centric Brands’ Men’s & Women’s Lifestyle division. After Centric Brands filed for Chapter 11 in May 2020, it emerged in October under new ownership controlled by Blackstone, Ares Management, and HPS Investment Partners, with Blackstone as majority sponsor.
