Roberto Torretta
After moving from Buenos Aires to Madrid in 1972, Roberto Torretta entered fashion through the sales team of Trip Difusión and helped open the Berlín boutique that same year. In 1981, he created Snif S.A., initially focused on cotton fabrics and sportswear; the company presented its first fashion show in Madrid in 1983. The Roberto Torretta label emerged from that earlier business, appearing at Pasarela Cibeles in 1996 and presenting individually under its own name in 1998. Based in Madrid, the firm works across prêt-à-porter, made-to-measure clothing, jewelry, accessories, and collaborations, with a sophisticated, urban, timeless, and contemporary design identity centered on an independent woman. Its guiding approach combines durable clothing with a balance of design, commercial judgment, and quality. Torretta received Spain’s National Fashion Award in 2016.
