Roca Perfums
Roca Perfums traces its documented origin to 2011, when Jordi Roca, pastry chef at El Celler de Can Roca, worked with perfumer Agustí Vidal to develop Núvol de Llimona. The project grew from an ongoing dialogue between gastronomy and perfumery: the Roca brothers studied perfume aromas for dessert creation, then reversed the process by translating a dessert into scent. Núvol de Llimona first took shape as a perfumed bar designed to accompany the dessert and connect smell with taste; after people began asking for it, it became a bottled perfume. It is the brand’s defining fragrance example, with a concept centered on childhood memory and tenderness. In February 2025, Roca Perfums was presented as a three-fragrance line inspired by Jordi Roca’s desserts, developed with Vidal and produced by Àuria Perfumes, an Igualada-based social-economy cooperative promoting inclusion. The collection extended the translation of the Roca culinary universe into fragrance.
