Rose & Co Manchester’s origin story centers on a British-born pilot from Manchester who moved with his family to Italy in 1948, after the Second World War, and created a fragrance dedicated to his daughter, Rose. That eponymous Rose Manchester fragrance launched in 1985. The brand’s Italian fragrance identity brings together Manchester and British heritage, the family’s relocation to Italy, and the father’s dedication to his daughter. Grey followed in 2012 as a modern reinterpretation, while Gentleman was released in 2022 and created by perfumer Pierre Stéphane Rubis. Profumitalia is listed as the brand’s parent company. The eponymous fragrance is the clearest defining example of the brand’s fragrance legacy, with a current edition reproducing the original 1985 formula.
