Fragrance house

rosine

Rosine was founded in 1911 by Paul Poiret, who named the perfume company after his first daughter and connected it to his wider work across fashion, perfume, and decorative arts. Its original perfumes extended his couture aesthetic, with artists and craftsmen contributing to their design, packaging, and promotion. In 1991, Marie-Hélène Rogeon relaunched Les Parfums de Rosine with authorization from Perrine Poiret, Paul Poiret’s daughter, after working in perfumery; the revived house drew on Rogeon’s interest in roses and her family background in perfumery. Rose has remained the collection’s common thread, with different interpretations of the flower across its history. La Rose de Rosine, first launched by Poiret in 1911, became the signature fragrance of the relaunched house. After Rogeon’s death in 2021, her son Louis continued the house’s work, including a more modern and playful direction through the Les Extravagants collection while retaining its heritage.
