Royale Ambree

Royale Ambree is a Spanish-market fragrance brand whose public identity dates to 1943. In July that year, Legrain launched it in Spain, where the cologne became number one in the Spanish market. Its place in everyday Spanish fragrance culture was especially visible in the 1960s and 1970s, when Spanish men commonly wore it. Ownership later moved from Legrain to AkzoNobel in 1985, then through Sara Lee and Unilever, which acquired the business in 2010. On 25 April 2022, Unilever sold Royale Ambree in Spain to Sensogreen Healthcare, returning the brand to Spanish ownership. Today, Royale Ambree presents itself as a unisex fragrance house centered on freshness, with scents intended to evoke memories and places. Its signature fragrance, Royale Ambree Original, is described as iconic, with a formula unchanged since 1943. The fresh citrus-aromatic composition combines lemon, lavender, rosemary, orange blossom, petitgrain, and eucalyptus.
