Royall Lyme

Royall Lyme traces its founding to Anthony J. Gaade, a Bermudian yachtsman who brought its first fragrance to market in 1957. Created to capture and communicate the essence and spirit of Bermuda, the brand developed an early visual language of vintage-inspired bottles, crown caps, parchment wrapping, and wax seals. It was introduced at Brooks Brothers in New York in 1960, followed by expansion to London, Milan, and other international markets. The original scent grew into the Royall Family of Fragrances, while the range continued to draw on Bermuda and Caribbean inspiration. The trademark was used in Canada by at least April 4, 1963, filed there in 1964, and registered in 1965. Ownership of the registered mark changed from Royall Lyme (Bermuda) Limited to Royall Lyme Fragrances LLC in 2017, with the change registered in 2018. Royall Lyme is the signature fragrance, a Bermuda-centered citrus scent built around West Indian lime and an old Caribbean recipe.
