Fragrance house
S Poncet
S Poncet is an independent fragrance house founded by French-born Sabine Poncet in the United States. The house was introduced in 2011 with Eau Eternelle, its first release. Its company, Ephemeros, uses a mayfly logo referencing the fleeting nature of fragrance. Art and landscape shape the brand’s creative identity: Eau Eternelle drew on a childlike painting of swimming fish and memories of Monet’s garden at Giverny, while Pleasant Promenade, released in 2013, drew on Sabine Poncet’s mother’s artwork and memories of the Loire Valley. Poncet developed Pleasant Promenade with perfumer Fabrice Olivieri after almost a year of back-and-forth work, and the fragrance was associated with an Olfactif Landscapes concept. The house’s fragrance story begins with Eau Eternelle, its inaugural scent.
