Saint Hilaire originated in 1973 in the Toulouse area as a French fashion business. It first built its identity through men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, with emphasis on stretch garments and technically treated fabrics, including Lycra in citywear. From 2000 onward, the group broadened its offer beyond its original trouser-specialist positioning and developed a fragrance line alongside its fashion activities. Its clothing identity was associated with elegant tailoring designed for practical use, including washable, crease-resistant and stain-resistant stretch garments. In 2017, after financial difficulty and debt restructuring, managers Fabrice Dorr and Vincent Lefebvre bought Activa Capital’s participation. That period also brought a planned change from the name Bruno Saint Hilaire to Saint Hilaire and a modernized logo. The current fragrance line is presented as masculine, created in France with French perfumers.
