Salt & Stone
Salt & Stone was founded in 2017 by former professional snowboarder Nima Jalali, who created the brand after identifying a gap between effective body-care formulas and products with appealing ingredients, scent, and design for an active lifestyle. The Los Angeles-based body-care and fragrance brand combines active ingredients associated with the sea and mountains with nature-inspired scents and daily aromatic rituals. Within weeks of launch, Paris concept store Colette contacted Salt & Stone about stocking it, an early milestone in the brand’s development. Its fragrance identity is organized around recurring scent families used across multiple body-care formats, including Santal & Vetiver, Neroli & Basil, Black Rose & Oud, and Bergamot & Hinoki. Santal & Vetiver is one of the brand’s bestselling fragrances. Humble Growth announced a significant minority investment in Salt & Stone on August 7, 2024. On March 24, 2026, Advent International announced a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake; under the announced transaction, Jalali was to remain an equity holder while Humble Growth was to exit.
