Fragrance house
Samba
Samba originated within Perfumer’s Workshop, the fragrance company founded in 1970 by Donald and Gun Bauchner. The company developed an identity centered on consumer participation and custom-blended fragrance, beginning with a Bloomingdale’s counter that transformed essential oils into a luxury fragrance experience. Samba was launched in 1987 by The Perfumer’s Workshop Ltd. Gun Bauchner designed the original fragrance’s ringed purple bottle, matching cap, and red collar. The original Samba is a crisp fruity-floral parfum, while the wider SAMBA family has a combined history of more than 60 years and is identified as a group of best-sellers. Today, Samba is a master brand created by the privately owned Perfumer’s Workshop International.
