Fragrance house
Saphir
Saphir Parfums traces its origins to 1940, when the first generation of its current owning family opened a Zaragoza distribution warehouse for perfumery and household goods under the name Almacenes Corinto. After the second generation joined in the 1960s, the business moved from distribution into perfume production. At the start of the 21st century, the third generation entered ownership, beginning a period focused on consumers, growth, and diversification. Spanish-owned, Saphir describes its purpose as making quality perfumery accessible to consumers. Its expansion created separate channels: Saphir Parfums for perfumeries, Caravan Fragancias for food retail, and IAP Pharma Parfums for pharmacies. The company also developed licensed projects, including the official Expo 2008 perfume and later licenses associated with Velvet, Eva González, David Bisbal, Anne Geddes, Hannibal Laguna, and Pertegaz. On 1 March 2018, Global Saphir Group SL became the sole shareholder and administrator of Álvarez Gómez perfume company.
