Sarah Baker Perfumes

Sarah Baker Perfumes was founded by Sarah Baker in 2015, following a 2014 fragrance-based art project created with the Institute for Art and Olfaction. The brand grew from Baker’s multidisciplinary practice across fine art, film, photography, and installation, with perfumery serving as an extension of that work. Its first collection appeared in 2016 with perfumers Ashley Eden Kessler and Sarah McCartney, and the house’s collaborative method pairs invited perfumers with an original mini screenplay or Hollywood-style script for each fragrance. Jungle Jezebel, created with Miguel Matos and released in 2018, reflects this art-led approach through its connection to actor and singer Divine and its contrast between tropical fruit sweetness and heavier animalic tones. The same year, the Sarah Baker Collection introduced a new bottle and packaging concept incorporating the original Motif Collection fragrances. In October 2020, the S.Baker Collection launched with five new eau de parfum fragrances, including two composed by Baker. The brand is currently co-owned by Baker and Andy Hsu. A vanilla trilogy developed with Nicola Thomis began taking shape in late 2024 and early 2025, producing Velvet Vendetta and Va Va Vanilla.
