Scentimental is a Lagos-based fragrance brand founded in 2015 by Salma Bello after her visit to Grasse, France. Its identity treats fragrance as a carrier of memory, travel, culture, heritage, and personal experience, presenting the brand as a layered experience rather than perfume alone. Bello’s travels and memories inform its creative direction, which combines soft notes with rich exotic infusions. In 2017, she represented Scentimental Nigeria as a vendor at She Leads Africa’s SLAY Festival, returning in 2018 after the brand’s successful participation the previous year. Scentimental’s fragrances are created by artisans and connected to cultural depth and heritage.
