Scout Dixon West

Scout Dixon West emerged from its founder’s work as a fragrance reviewer and perfume-focused social-media creator, with perfume described in April 2024 as her continuing creative preoccupation while she lived in Los Angeles and pursued independent projects. The eponymous fragrance brand launched in September 2024 with three scents: El Dorado, Incarnate, and Coney Island Baby. Its creative identity draws on nostalgia, longing, memory, archetypal energies, strong emotions, and contrast, favoring expressive compositions over minimalist fragrances intended to blend into contemporary life. The initial fragrances were created with perfumers Doug Falcone and Yann Vasnier. Incarnate is identified as the brand’s best-selling fragrance and was also released as a candle, with a profile built around sweetened resins, musk, pepper, and shadowed vanilla. In November 2024, retailers including Arielle Shoshana, Ministry of Scent, Luckyscent, and Indiehouse Modern Fragrances dropped the brand after old social-media posts concerning the pandemic, weight, and race circulated. The SCOUT DIXON WEST mark is owned by Seventh Street Scent Inc. of Berkeley, California.
