Fragrance house

Serge Dumonten

Serge Dumonten is an independent French perfume house whose first fragrance was created in 1989. Its fragrances were created privately for decades before entering the commercial perfume market at the end of 2017. Serge Dumonten’s real name is Serge Duval; he completed a six-month perfumery course in Grasse in 1992 and continued his studies at Symrise. Massimo Nobile, owner of the Italian perfume house Nobile 1942, was a co-founder and first ideological influence. The house’s creative method constructs complete artistic, historical, or private images and translates them into olfactory compositions, expressed through portraits and dedications. Its collection includes Ton Sommeil, an early fragrance created for the then-young Sophie Marceau, as well as works associated with Jean Marais.
