Sesderma

Sesderma is a Spanish dermatology laboratory founded in 1989 by Colombian dermatologist Dr. Gabriel Serrano. While treating patients in Valencia, Serrano encountered limited access to quality dermatological products, an experience that led him to develop personalized dermocosmetic care through the company. Its identity is organized around listening to patients’ skin needs, expressed in the motto “Listening to your skin,” alongside an emphasis on science, knowledge, generosity, and a human touch. In 2008, Sesderma began applying nanotechnology and liposome-based delivery to create solutions for different skin needs. The group spans the consumer-facing Sesderma business and Mediderma, its professional division for medical-aesthetic and dermatological specialists. In July 2026, JB Capital entered the shareholding and took control after months of negotiations, marking a change in ownership while the company’s scientific identity was reported as preserved.
