Fragrance house
Sewelo
Sewelô Paris is a fragrance house named after Botswana’s 1,758-carat Sewelô diamond. The stone was discovered at the Karowe mine in April 2019, and its name—meaning “rare find” in Setswana—was announced that July. Sewelô Paris’s first documented fragrance milestone came in 2023 with five unisex Eau de Parfums. The house’s creative premise connects scent to the wearer’s skin chemistry: as the diamond reflects differently on different skin tones, each fragrance changes in relation to the person wearing it. Its bottles are shaped and faceted to evoke a rough, uncut diamond. The launch collection was composed by Arturetto Landi, Florian Gallo, Fanny Bal, Thomas Crabalona, and Gaël Montero.
