Shekor

Shekor is a Bangladeshi perfume brand whose name means “roots,” translating Bangladesh’s landscapes, cultural memory, history, and heritage into fragrance. The project began in 2022 as a collaboration between creative director Abedin and perfumer Antonio Gardoni, initially conceived as a single Bangladesh-inspired fragrance before expanding into a broader perfume house; Sultan Pasha joined in 2023. Abedin developed the creative briefs, while Gardoni and Pasha interpreted them through scent. Shekor’s place-based references include monsoon rain, Sylhet’s tea gardens and shatkora citrus, Old Dhaka, and Bangladesh’s cultural resilience. Its first two fragrances, Ashar and Sylhet, were officially launched in 2025 at Pitti Fragranze in Florence. Ashar, composed by Pasha, interprets monsoon rain and surrounding vegetation, while Sylhet, composed by Gardoni, draws on northeastern Bangladesh’s tea-growing region and shatkora citrus.
