Shiara

Shiara was a United States fragrance brand operating by 1995; its Cherry Vanilla trademark records first use in commerce on January 30, 1996. Its documented fragrance range included Cherry Vanilla, Mandarin Vanilla, Amber Musk, Vision, and Cloud Dance. In 1998, CCA’s majority-owned Fragrance Corporation of America acquired Shiara inventory and licensed rights to sell Shiara products from Shiara Holdings. The following year, CCA discontinued those operations and stopped marketing most products, while retaining Cherry Vanilla and Cloud Dance and assuming their marketing. In 2000, CCA purchased Shiara Holdings’ trademarks, ending royalty obligations tied to the earlier license. Cherry Vanilla and Cloud Dance are the clearest documented examples of Shiara’s fragrance legacy: CCA retained both because demand remained, and Cloud Dance was presented in packaging containing two differently colored fragrance oils suspended together.
