Silvia Monti - Profumi d'Artista

Silvia Monti – Profumi d’Artista began as Peccato Originale in 2012, founded by Silvia Monti, a pharmacist from Cesena who developed the project after discovering old galenic recipes and pharmacy materials in the cellar of her family pharmacy. Its original concept translated historical galenic preparations into wearable fragrances conceived as artistic, emotion-oriented remedies, with a collection of seven unisex scents associated with distinct intended emotional effects. In 2020, ownership of Peccato Originale passed to Hippocrates Holding S.p.A.; the fragrance names and olfactory pyramids were retained while the brand was renamed Silvia Monti – Profumi d’Artista. Monti is identified with the project as its founder, nose, and creative author, while its visual language brings together pharmacy imagery, galenic references, and alchemical symbolism through vial-inspired packaging, blue-and-white graphics, and simplified alchemical signs. The collection is especially associated with this pharmacy- and galenic-inspired approach, including five interpretations of vanilla documented in 2018, among them Iniezione di Morfina and Essenza Miracolosa.
