Fragrance house
Sixteen92
Founded in 2014 by Claire Baxter, a photographer and former advertising creative director, Sixteen92 grew from an early-2000s concept for home fragrances and candles into a fine-fragrance house; several bottled stories became its original general-catalogue fragrances in 2014. Based in Fort Worth, Texas, it is a niche fragrance house focused on small-batch scents inspired by literature, history, folklore, lore, and the occult. Its name refers to 1692, the year of the Salem witch trials, aligning with its interest in witchcraft and occult themes. Bruise Violet, created by Baxter, won the 2017 Art + Olfaction Golden Pear in the Artisan fragrance category, and Sixteen92 identifies it as a best-seller. From March 1, 2026, the brand narrowed its year-round offering into a more focused core collection and made parfum sprays its sole format.
