Snob
Snob is a men’s fragrance brand marketed by Istanbul-based Turkish cosmetics company Pinkar Kimya. Pinkar was founded in Istanbul in 1938 by brothers İzak and Sabetay Pinto, initially producing colognes, and later expanded into baby powder, hair dyes, skincare products and shampoos. In 1988, Procter & Gamble bought Pinkar’s Turkish Blendax business from the Pinto family; afterward, the founder’s son became Pinkar’s sole owner and the company continued as a family business. Following that restructuring, Pinkar developed the Pastel brand and identified Snob for men and Dolce for women as its perfume brands, with Snob documented in its market offering by 2012. Pinkar presents Snob as a men’s fragrance line associated with both contemporary urban life and quieter town life.
