Soivohle (Liz Zorn)
Soivohle is a handcrafted artisan perfume brand established in 2002 by perfumer and founder Liz Zorn. Its origins reach back to Zorn’s early-1990s olfactory-art installations and numbered-edition perfumes, created in her downtown Cincinnati art space. Her background as a fine artist, including painting and olfactory art, shaped the brand’s creative direction. Soivohle approaches fragrance as an artistic medium, pursuing challenging scents and unusual combinations. Its debut collection, launched in 2002, included Sinti, Grand Canyon, and Jazz Trio #1. Zorn’s method begins with a plant-based palette, with animal-derived materials increasingly replaced by cruelty-free, sustainable alternatives. Around 2014, she closed the Pendleton Street perfume studio and planned to dissolve the Acousticjus line, incorporating some of its fragrances into Soivohle. The current Signature Collection presents fine botanical parfums in dialogue with ancient and classical perfumery while emphasizing experimentation. Liz Zorn Mixed Media Arts LLC is the rights holder for Soivohle and Acousticjus.
